Hello Class 3!
Below you will find some activities for anyone currently not in school.
Summer Term Home Learning Tasks
Grab your wet suit. We’re going deep into an underwater world of incredible coral and mysterious sea creatures. We can’t head to our local aquarium at the moment but we can learn about life in the ocean. Can you pick a favourite fish, plant or animal? What do real divers get up to below the surface? Will you create a fishy story about exploring an amazing underwater world? Come on then, it’s time to go a little deeper into our seas. Let’s find out how a deep sea submarine can withstand great pressure and travel to the deepest, darkest places on Earth. Wait a moment! What are those bright lights in the distance? It’s a group of bio luminescent sea creatures. We are going to look closely and create a colourful, 2-D or 3-D art display for our web page. Flippers on? Snorkel ready? Let’s head into the Blue Abyss.
Hello from Mrs Bradding and Mrs Lander. We hope you and your families are all well and keeping safe as we enter this our second term of home learning.
Blue Abyss is our new topic for this term! We have planned a number of different activities for you to enjoy and we hope you have fun with the different tasks we suggest. We’ve kept everything the same as it was last term so navigating around our class page shouldn’t create too many questions but please do contact us if you have any. We love hearing about what you have been up to and we love seeing all your fabulous work too. Keep sharing and keep in touch – we’ll update our web page weekly so look out for your pictures and work!
All of these Home Learning tasks are only there for ideas; as with any of the tasks, please do what you can, when you can, however you can. Our aim is to support you as much as possible throughout these “new normal times”!
IMPORTANT Update for maths
As you are all aware, as of Monday 11th May, White Rose Maths (WRM) stopped the free access to the independent worksheets so you have been accessing these from our class page here on the school web-site. This has not changed, however, where applicable there are alternative lesson plans and lessons provided. These are aligned with BBC Bitesize Daily lessons which you can access here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/dailylessons You may notice that you have already covered the lessons set quite recently. That’s OK – they have been set as part of the 12 week revision plan. If you don’t want to revise these lessons use the alternative plan and lessons instead.
Once again, thank you for keeping in touch; we are sad we are not back together and hope it wont be too long before we can be.
Kindest regards, keep safe and keep well.
